This map shows announcements of funding into AI-driven initiatives across five emerging-market regions, since January 2023. As of September 2026, 206 signed transactions carry $90 billion in disclosed, committed AI capital, against $193 billion announced through national plans, corporate country programs and funds. Signed transactions make up 32 percent of the two combined. Compute infrastructure carries 97 percent of traced capital, while data foundations hold under 1 percent.
