Impact Lender AI.OS

AI Templates for the Work Mission-Driven Lenders Do

A starter pack for mission-driven lenders. Free for registered users.

Impact Lender AI.OS follows your client's journey, from first contact to renewal. For each step it shows the work your teams do and where an AI template can help. Each template is a prompt for the AI assistant your institution already licenses, and a named person checks every output before anyone uses it.

Built for microfinance institutions, CDFIs, credit unions, NBFC-MFIs, SOFIPOs and other lenders that serve people and small businesses the mainstream market underserves.

Cómo funciona

Four Layers, From Your Client to a Checked Result

  1. 1
    Your client's journey

Eight stages, from first contact to renewal. Each stage names what the client gains, so every template starts from a benefit to the client.

  2. 2
    The work behind each step

Each client step lists the work your teams do: with the client, in the back office, and the checks that keep lending fair and safe. Work that runs under every stage, such as finance, people and technology, has its own band on the journey page.

  3. 3
    A template for the work

A prompt you copy into the AI assistant your institution already licenses. Each template page has five operational steps, from the export in your system to a checked result.

  4. 4
    A person checks

A named person checks every output before anyone uses it. The data class decides which tool may see which data.

Every template starts from a client gain and ends with a person's check.

The client journey

Eight Stages, Each With a Gain for the Client

  1. 1

    Aware

Knows whether a product fits, including when it does not.

  2. 2

    Consider

Compares the full cost before deciding.

  3. 3

    Apply

Spends less time and money to apply.

  4. 4

    Onboard

Gets a quicker decision, borrows only what total household debt allows, and knows why.

  5. 5

    Receive

Gets the full amount on time, with no hidden deductions.

  6. 6

    Repay

Repays without cutting meals, selling assets or borrowing elsewhere to pay.

  7. 7

    Support

Has problems fixed quickly, and in hardship gets relief before any penalty.

  8. 8

    Loyalty

Has more income, savings or ability to recover from shocks, or moves to a provider that fits better.

The Onboard stage (red) has the first five templates. The other stages follow.

Five Templates for the Onboard Stage, Plus Setup

Setup. Run once, before any other template. It gives your assistant your credit policy and other materials. For the client: outputs apply your client protection rules, such as debt caps and fair treatment, from the first run.

Credit memo. Draft the credit memo against the credit policy. For the client: the applicant is asked for each paper once, and the memo counts their debt with other lenders.

Committee questions. Prepare the credit committee. For the client: the committee asks about repayment strain before it approves.

Repayment patterns. Review what drives repayment and monitor the scorecard. For the client: cutoffs set on evidence, so fewer good payers are turned away and fewer loans clients cannot repay are approved.

Decision explanations. Explain each decision to the applicant. For the client: every applicant gets the specific reasons for the decision in plain words.

Approval gaps. Review approval rates between groups each month. For the client: applicants with the same repayment capacity get the same chance of approval, whatever their group.

Run Setup once, then start with the credit memo on one real case.

Getting started

Four Steps From Registration to a First Checked Result

  1. 1
    Registro

Register with your work email and name your institution. We check that you work at a lender, then send a login link. There is no password to remember.

  2. 2
    Check you are ready

Read the readiness checklist. Five things must be in place, including an approved AI tool and a person who checks output.

  3. 3
    Run Setup once

Give your assistant your credit policy and your other materials, one time, before any other template.

  4. 4
    Run one template

Start with the credit memo on one real case. Check the output against your loan system and your policy, then tell us how it worked.

Ground rules

Three Rules for Every Template

Use the assistant you already license. Every template runs in the AI assistant your institution licenses. Nothing runs on this site.

Keep client data in approved tools. Client personal data (class C) goes only into a tool your institution approves for it.

A person checks every output. A named person checks the result before anyone uses it.

Nothing runs on this site, and no client data reaches us.

The framework

Built on Our 2024 Paper on AI in Finance

The pack builds on AI in Finance: Bridging the Inclusion Gap (June 2024), which maps where AI can help across the client journey of a financial service provider. The templates turn that map into work your teams can run today.
